Va Juniors Sends 3 Teams to Open Gold Bracket at Cap Classic

Va Jr. 15 Legacy Takes 3rd Overall in 15 Open

VA Juniors had an excellent showing at the Capital Hill Classic on Presidents Day Weekend!

Va Juniors 15 Legacy led the way w/ a 3rd Place finish in the 15 Open Division.  They lost a tough 3-set battle in the semi-final of the Gold Bracket to EC Power, the overall winner of the 15 Open Division. 15 Legacy was the top finisher from the CHRVA Region in the 15 Open Division. They won 8 matches and dropped just one.   

Va Juniors 14 Apprime finished 5th overall in the 14 Open Division.  They won 6 matches and dropped two.  Our 13 Elites finished 8th overall in the 13 Open Division with a record of 5-4. Our Va Juniors 18 Elite team finished 9th overall in the 18 Open Division. They won 5 matches and lost 2 over the 3-day tournament.  Our 16 Elite team fought back from a difficult pool on Day One and won Flight One going 5-3 for the tournament. 

Individual Recognition was given to Anjali Amazigo as the Best Blocker in the 15 Open Division.  Way to go, Anjali!! 

Congrats to all of the Va Juniors players and coaches on a job well-done!!  Way to represent!

The Capital Hill Classic is one of the biggest tournaments in the country.  Over 900 teams participated in this year’s tournament which was held at the DC Convention Center.
