14's & 16's Silver Medalists & 15 Legacy WINS GOLD!

Va Juniors Volleyball Club was well represented in Richmond this past weekend at Monument City Championships.  All 5 teams made the trip and all 5 teams ended pool play in Division 1 on their way to battle for Gold.

Va Juniors 15 Legacy were the Champions of the 15 Open Division.  15 Legacy won all 8 matches and took only two of those to a tie breaker set. Not only did Legacy win the Open Division, but they had a lot of fun doing it. This is the 2nd time Coach Bottorf and her team have won the Monument City Championship.

Va Juniors 14 Apprime & Va Juniors 16 Elite both battled to the Gold Medal final of the Open Division and fell just short.  Both teams earned Silver Medals and took home some more "bling" for the club.  14 Apprime won 6 of its 8 matches and fell to a very strong Carolina Juniors team twice.  16 Elite won 7 of its 8 matches and had a very strong showing against teams from all over the Mid Atlantic Region.

Va Juniors 18 Elite also battled hard in grueling tie-breaker set that sent them into the Silver Bracket.  Va Juniors 18's started strong by winning their first 5 matches of the 18 Open Division. They finished 8th overall.

Va Juniors 13 Elite lost a hard fought tie-breaker at the end of day 2 that was boom or bust.  A win would have sent them to Gold and the loss sent them to Flight 1.  They won out the 3rd day of competition with a clean sweep of all opponents and finished 10th overall.  Strong finish for our 13 Elites!

It was a great weekend in Richmond where our teams got to face some of the best teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, & Virginia.
